Our Mission: To inform and promote awareness of issues that affect the common good and to present opportunities for involvement in causes that encourage peace and justice in our community and around the world. 

Current activities

  • Investigating the possibility of establishing a labyrinth at the church.

  • Green Congregations Team is focused on assisting our congregation in becoming more environmentally responsible

  • Prairie Plat Team is looking into planting Indiana native grasses, wildflowers, and other plants in the area in back of the church.

  • Tree Watering Team is working to develop efficient means of watering our newly planted trees.

  • The United States’ response to poverty
    The ESPJF sponsors the annual Bread For the World (BFW) Offering of Letters

  • The Environment
    The ESPJF sponsors a paper recycling bin at the NW corner of the church parking lot.  With a goal of
    2 tons of paper per month, we are asking members, friends and neighbors to help us reduce landfill waste by recycling the following paper products: 

     

    • Newspapers --- All Magazines -- Junk Mail -- Catalogs -- Fax & Copy Paper -- All Envelopes -- Paperback Books  -- Hardback Books with the covers removed.

     

    We CANNOT ACCEPT...Cardboard -- Phone Books -- Brown Paper Bags

  • Welcoming and Affirming
    The ESPJF believes that all are welcome and to be affirmed in the fellowship of Christ. M

  • Peacemaking
    The ESPJF affirms that it is the role of every follower of Christ to be a peacemaker. M

  • The ESPJF encourages interfaith dialog

  • The ESPJF believes that discrimination is a violation of our faith.

The ESPJF meets in members homes on the third Friday of each odd numbered month.        Check the church calendar for the next meeting.
