Growing in Faith...Youth Group
ABY (American Baptist Youth OR Alliance of Baptists Youth) a group for middle school and high school young women and men

Our youth group meets weekly, usually on Sunday evening between 5:00-7:00 pm. However, our schedule varies because we like to change things up a bit. For example, we’ve enjoyed going horseback riding, surviving overnight lock-ins, traveling on weekend retreats, sponsoring Egg Hunts and Halloween parties for younger children, raking leaves for people in our church, attending Indianapolis Pacer, Indians & Fever games, swimming in Kathy’s pool, raising funds for and walking the CROP Walk, and a lot of other things as well.

We have fun together, explore our faith together, and sometimes just chill together. Sometimes ABY is a program, sometimes just laid back conversation, other times we are up and doing things. ABY… is us together. Want to join us?

food drive thank you...

The youth of Cumberland First Baptist Church wish to thank all those who supported our "Yes We CAN !" Food Drive. The Community Outreach Ministry Eastside will benefit from the 50+  bags of groceries and $60 collected on a chilly Saturday morning.  We appreciate the willingness of our local Walmart and staff for allowing us to promote and collect canned goods outside their front doors. And we are grateful to the following east side merchants who donated raffle items: Applebees: a $25 gift certificate, Sero's: a $15 & $5 gift certificate, D Fine Hair Salon: $100 in hair care  products, Kathy Dawson, Mary Kay Beauty Consultant: $100 in beauty products. Thank you to all our supporters who helped us prove,

"Yes We CAN !"

All too often we are giving young people cut flowers when we should be teaching them to grow their own plants. -- John W. Gardner
