Suburban East Pastoral Counseling Services, Inc.
For All of Life’s Seasons: Suburban East Pastoral Counseling for Individuals, Couples and Families

Suburban East has been committed to providing caring, competent, affordable counseling since 1977. It was started by the churches of the Suburban East Ministerial Association to reach out to individuals and families on Indianapolis’ far eastside.

We work with individuals and families who attend church as well as those who do not. We counsel persons who seek to address their issues in light of the Christian faith as well as those for whom faith is not a current concern.

As a distinctly pastoral counseling center, our counselors work out of their own faith tradition and experience. We are attuned to the spiritual dimension as well as the emotional, mental and physical dimensions of human experience. While we do not urge a particular faith stance, we desire healing and wholeness for all our clients.

How much will it cost?

  • The fee for an hour-long session is $55.
  • A lower, subsidized fee may be negotiated, according to individual & family income or circumstances.
  • This fee will be determined by you and your counselor in the first session.
  • In some cases, insurance may cover or contribute to the cost.

Some of the issues persons bring to counseling include:

  • loss & grief
  • parenting
  • communication
  • marriage & divorce
  • eating disorders
  • anxiety & depression
  • family violence
  • sexual abuse & assault
  • self-esteem
  • crises & faith
  • financial stress
  • caring for aging parents
